With the stress of yesterday caused by the excessively delayed flight and the arrival to the not so impressive hotel; I honestly wasn’t sure about today; but fast forward the day’s almost over and I can honestly say I enjoyed myself! we have the best “tour guide/host” Fointama! He’s an absolute star; making sure the girls and I are well taken care off, nice rides and a lot of space! Cameroon is starting to look a lil exciting! Thank Goodness! We’re heading out to a club tonight! Cant wait to see how the Cameroonians party; should be interesting! Ill let you know all about it tomorrow! “A Demain”
Today started off with cramps, shed tears with me. However, we’re grateful for painkillers that kick in just in time to save your life. Judging from today, it’s looking like a very exciting next couple of days. I don’t want to jinx it, but I’m excited.
Ok, so if you’re ever going to fly to Cameroon don’t use Arik. DON’T DO IT! After spending about 7 hours at the airport yesterday, we finally landed in peaceful DOUALA and looking back now I’m just grateful I ate on the plane. (I’m extra cranky when I’m hungry). Now, today was totally different. Myself and the girls went to Radio Balafon to meet with Media Personality, Cyril Bojiko who was such a good sport. Highlight of my day was an offer to come to Cameroon for one of the biggest entertainment award shows happening in December. He also said I had a good radio voice too. Who knows, this might be a sign to resurrect my radio career 🙂 We filmed till about 5 and had to grab lunch, easily my best part of the day. Did I tell you we have the best tour guide in Fointama, he’s AMAZING!!! You can bet the girls and I have invited him to Lagos so we can show him how it’s we do it in Gidi. It’s Friday so we’re going to check out Cameroon nightlife, we met Nabil who is a celebrity earlier today and he as promised a fun night. I can’t decide between my black or white dress though… Sooooooo excited!
Ten days they said, “ten days you’ll be alright” … “this vaccine wont hurt anymore after 10 days” …LIES!!! 12th day and my arm still feels like a tube of yam and hurts real bad. So I am pretty much paralyzed on my right hand and my producer feels a tight squeeze on the arm is a form of encouragement… LOL err no Obinna its not *Straight face*. Doula is looking real good from where I’m standing; we met Cameroon media Veteran Cyril Bojiko who is cool people by the way and he kinda invited Seyitan and I back for their biggest award show in December so Doula we shall do this dance again very soon…*insert evil laugh*
