The kidnappers issue a ransom demand as the mother rejects their ultimatum, controversy erupting over her daughter’s worth. Inspector K insists on a press conference, though his integrity is in question, while Topsy herself plays ball with kidnappers over such mundane issues as her vegan diet, underlining the dreamlike quality of her captivity as police rush for leads.
Episode 4
At a dramatic press conference, Topsy’s mother confronts Inspector K in public, but her rant has a gem that helps track the ransom call to Yaba. Even though police rush to the site, kidnappers flee with Topsy’s wig. Meanwhile, rival street boss Agba bristles at not being included in such a high-profile abduction on his turf and threatens to seize control. As undercover officers gather evidence pointing to a few suspects, Inspector K goes about connecting the kidnapping to the murder of the billionaire, further elevating the stakes.
Episode 5
Topsy’s mother accuses Inspector K of capitalizing on her daughter’s case to promote himself and allowing him two days to deliver her. While kidnappers debate whether to let her go for a share of ransom money, Agba’s men happen upon their scheme, ratcheting up the tension. Inspector Harriet reluctantly tells Inspector K that their cases are connected, and the police raid Agba’s hideout. But a shootout results in a bloody one where Agba appropriates Topsy for himself, having the kidnappers at his mercy but playing the card of innocence as bystanders.
Episode 6

One of them collapses under interrogation, confessing their involvement, and Inspector K smilingly wins over Harriet. Meanwhile, Topsy’s furious mother physically attacks the inspector after learning that her daughter has been kidnapped again. It gets worse when Agba takes a direct call to Inspector K and demands 500 million by midnight or death and implies he has critical information that can link both big cases to one another.
Episode 7
Topsy is tied up but cleverly uses a dropped phone to livestream her surroundings for a moment before it is switched off. In the meantime, the undercover mechanic goes undercover to Agba’s compound pretending to fix his car, giving important information to the police. Inspector K finds out that the billionaire victim has been poisoned, adding another layer of complexity to the murder case, and Harriet is getting frustrated as Hanson keeps interfering with her. With tensions rising, the inspectors move closer to solving main suspects, but Hanson’s covert phone calls suggest that the betrayal could be coming from their own side.
Episode 8
Topsy cleverly drops clues in coded messages within a video to reveal where she is, frustrating Inspector K and his team with trying to decode the message while having the real kidnappers in custody for questioning. The undercover inspector Sylvester is also able to gain information that links Agba not only to the kidnapping but also to the billionaire’s murder, and he was working for the murderer as well. With this respite, Harriet is tasked with conducting a stakeout of one of Agba’s operative’s favourite hangouts, and Inspector K must pretend to remain still at the mercy of Agba’s calls. With tensions mounting higher, pressure increases from Topsy’s mother, threatening Inspector K that his career promotion—and even employment—is at stake if he returns her daughter unharmed, leaving the inspector conflicted between professional ambitions and desperate family demands.

While they stutter through excuses, a rogue cop tries to fake a friendship but is soon discovered, confirming Agba’s suspicions that the police are hot on their trail. Incensed, Agba demands $1.5 million in unsealed currency and the release of his cousin from prison within 10 hours, threatening to mutilate the men being held captive and kill Topsy should his ultimatum not be met. Inspector K and his team are caught in the web of escalated tensions in a desperate time frame, losing both their mole and the kidnapped child if they blink.
